Are you looking to join a cutting-edge technology company?

eSoftThings is a system design power house specializing in computer vision, IoT, wireless and audio enabled products and solutions. eSoftThings holds an impressive track record in the design of computer vision solutions for advanced driver-assistance systems, IoT devices and solutions, low power wireless and audio enabled connected devices.

In cooperation with our ecosystem partners our team delivers outstanding products and solutions to the marketplace. We operate from our high-tech labs in the city of Rennes in the Brittany region of France and have a worldwide customer base.

Over 70% of our annual turnover is generated from overseas sources.

Joining us is an opportunity to work on amazing projects in an international context. As a fast-growing startup, we offer excellent career opportunities in a range of disciplines.

The aim of this internship is to support the development of eSoftThings’ Autonomous Vehicles business.

You will be integrated into the Autonomous Vehicles team, composed of signal / image processing engineers and embedded system engineers.

You will be tasked with developing a solution of “Surround view” in order to obtain a visualization of the external environment of the vehicle in the cockpit (to mitigate the problem of the blind spot during maneuvers).

Your mission will be to study the existing algorithms and develop a functional solution that can then be integrated on a real-time embedded platform.

The work will be done, initially, on series of images then, according to the evolution of the project, on wide-angle cameras (requiring calibration and image corrections) in real time.

At the end of this internship, you will have acquired skills on algorithmic parts of computer vision and integration / optimization parts on embedded platforms.

Your tasks will include:

  • Assessing the State of the Art on algorithms such as “Stitching”

  • Selection of algorithms in terms of quality and performance

  • Implementation of an operating system on a PC environment

  • Implementation of this system on embedded platform dedicated to automotive application

  • Camera calibration (wide angle) and choice of the calibration method

This internship requires the following skills:

  • Good knowledge of the C programming language

  • Curiosity and autonomy

The internship is open to future engineers as part of their final-year internship, the duration of the internship is 6 months.

The internship is paid 6,92 € Gross per hour.
